  • WOMEN OF FAITH

I am so excited.  I bought a ticket today for the Women of Faith event  on Saturday, November 21st!!  It's being held not far from my home and I have been wanting to go to this kind of event for sometime! I so look forward to deepening my walk with God.  Lisa Welchel, Mandesa and Stephen Curtis Chapman and his wife will be performing and/or speaking.  I feel so truly blessed to be able to attend this event.  GOD IS SO GOOD.

  • UPDATE ON MICHAEL BREWER

I wanted to post an update from the family of the little boy who was set on fire. I ask you continue to pray for him.  I was so happy when I read this and all the glory goes to HIM!!

The update below was posted on Facebook.

God bless all and have a great weekend.

Mikey is doing very well as of lastnight!! He can now have any food he wants, or should i say ASKS for, yes he is talking better too! When i got the news i thought my heart was gonna jump right out of me.:) im not sure if he is talking more than a wisper, but i know he can be understood.
Please understand his is still only half way through the woods as his Doctor stated a few days ago. But this is really good news:)
Mikey is a heck of Fighter though isn't he!! Soon he will be reading all of your notes of prayers, well wishes, and all the things you have done for him. I am going down to see him on Saturday, and i am going to try to help Valerie get on the site, someone loaned her a laptop but she is having problems trying to even get online--It could be the Computer, so i will also bring my laptop, but i wont be able to leave it there, it is really my husbands and his School work is on it,and my sons too. but she can at Least see some of it, if it does turn out to be the computer she has-hopfully I will be able to set that one up for her then she can check it out when she gets a few minutes. Mike Sr. and Valerie are and have been with him 24/7 ! They want me to thank, bless and Hug You All for your help with prayers to get him where he is NOW.

  • We just finished dinner.  I prepared three dinners for the week.  They were meat loaf and mashed potatoes (which we had tonight), hot dog and bean casserole (I know, very unhealthy), and fried chicken breasts (also unhealthy). With the chicken breasts, I can make a variety of dinners.  We can have chicken parm, lemon chicken or chicken with rice.  Having the chicken gives everyone a variety.

Tuesday I am having oral surgery.  A root canal and extraction :(.  I am so not looking forward to it.  If you think of it, please pray it all goes well.

Last night we were treated to a yummy dinner at http://www.bucadibeppo.com.  My husband helps Ron and Pam with their business computers and they asked us to dinner to thank him.  Two other couples joined us and it was so delicious and fun.  All the rooms are small and cozy that you feel as if you are dining in a quaint restaurant in Italy.  The food is served family style. We had so much to eat; delicious salad (antipasto), crispy garlic bread, Stuffed Mushrooms, and brushetta to start the meal.  For our main course we all shared Spaghetti and Meat Sauce, Veal Marsala, and Chicken stuffed with ham. We finished off the meal with an apple crustine and cheese cake, which was also served family style.  It was a wonderful evening.

I pray everyone has a wonderful, blessed week.

  • Fall Weather & Prayer Request

We are finally scheduled for some Fall weather tomorrow.  On Sunday it'll be down to 61 degrees.  I can't wait.  We have had record temps this October.  Almost every day it's reached 96 degrees.  It's so difficult to be in the mood for Fall, which is my favorite season with these unseasonably warm temperatures.  Finally, tomorrow will be the day I put out my Fall decorations around my home.  I will have to be careful though, with the new puppy, getting bigger daily looking for trouble around the house!  She's basically a sweetie and doesn't cause much damage, however, when I put the decorations around, it may be another story :).

Last Saturday we were invited (with Samantha) to our friends for a bbq.  Our friends have a new puppy also, and they played together all day.  Needless to say, Samantha was exhausted for two days afterwards.  It was a great day of fellowship.

I was sickened to hear about a little boy who lives in Deerfield Beach, Florida, not too far from the town we live in that was doused with alcohol and set on fire over an argument about a bike and a DVD.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.  My husband was on his way home from work yesterday and a man was asking for donations for the family.  He was a close friend and he expressed what a horror that this happened.  His own children were right there at the time. What a tragedy.  I try so hard not to live in this "world".

1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides forever.

  • Picture - Update on Melaine

Paul and Anthony Evans This is one of my favorite pictures of my husband.  It was taken at the  South Florida Christian Festival.  It was a wonderful outdoor all-day event where many Christian Artists performed.  It was a very hot June day and we continually had frozen lemonade to cool off :).  This is Paul with Anthony Evans the wonderful singer who always shares a Godly message.  Paul was so excited to have his picture taken with him.  We were blessed to hear the group Salvador and many others before the headliner, Mercy Me was scheduled to perform.  Right before they were to come on stage, the skies opened up and torrential rain accompanied thunder and lightening.  They had to cancel the performance and we all left soaking wet after a wonderful day of fellowship.

    UPDATE ON MELANIE

She is home from the hospital and doing much better.  She may even be out and about soon and able to accept visitors.  Thankfully they were able to give her IV antibiotics before additional surgery to clean out the area.  By the grace of GOD she will not need chemotherapy or radiation. I thank you all for your prayers.
